NIAF FORUM, a series of free seminars, will take place prior to NIAF’s 47th Anniversary Gala

(Washington, D.C. – September 21, 2022) The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) will host

NIAF Forum; a series of seminars that are relevant to various aspects of the Italy- U.S. relationship.

Learn more about Italy’s role in transatlantic commerce with Luiss University and the Transatlantic Investment Committee; understand what makes Italy the second largest manufacturing country in Europe with ItalyUntold; plan a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy with Perillo Tours; explore the importance of Italy-US relations with The European House- Ambrosetti. All the NIAF Forum seminars are free and open to the public and are a way for Italian Americans and Italophiles to connect with the Bel Paese.

“We invite everyone who is interested in Italy to learn more about what the country has to offer in today’s society by participating in the NIAF Forum,” said NIAF President Robert Allegrini. “NIAF is pleased to partner with each institution to showcase the best of Italy and the Italian American community.”

Here is the schedule for the NIAF FORUM for Saturday, October 29, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.:

Doing Business within the Transatlantic Community
Join Luiss University and the Transatlantic Investment Committee for a stimulating discussion regarding the unique aspects of doing commerce across the Atlantic.
When: 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.

Medical Conference: Italian and American Perspectives on Cancer Care
This seminar will focus on the oncological research collaboration between Italy and the United States and the challenges of providing cancer care to underprivileged communities. Sbarro Health Research Organization (SHRO) and the Giovan Giacomo Giordano Foundation are the presenters.
When: 9:00 a.m.- 10:15 a.m.

Luiss America Foundation Launch
Learn about the launch of the newly founded Luiss America Foundation and the commensurate scholarship partnerships with NIAF.

The Russo Brothers Italian American Film Forum
NIAF in conjunction with the Italian Sons and Daughters of America (ISDA) will present the top three grant finalists for The Russo Brothers Italian American Film Forum. View all three film projects and participate in a Q&A with the filmmakers after the showing. The winner will be announced during the gala dinner.
When: 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

Italian American Reputation Lab – 2022 Report
Organized by We the Italians and Zwan, the Italian American Reputation Lab (IARL), will be discussed. The IARL is an initiative to monitor and assess the reputation values of Italy and Italian Americans within the United States of America.
When: 10:30 a.m.- 11:00 a.m.

Italy’s Untold Excellences: The Mission of ItalyUntold
Come discover some of the Italian excellences, which make Italy a country much more advanced and better than it is commonly perceived. This seminar is organized by ItalyUntold, a think tank based in Brussels.

Luncheon: America’s Global Security Challenges featuring General Jack Keane
General Jack Keane, the keynote speaker, will deliver remarks.
