NIAF Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma Scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of Celeste and Tom Cox (in honor of Daniel Megliola), Joan Lacagnina, and Frank and Terri Schifano, NIAF has partnered with Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma (UCBM) to award four full-tuition scholarships to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Bio Medical Engineering at UCBM’s campus beginning in September of 2026. The full-tuition scholarship also covers approximately 40% of living expenses for the three-year program in Rome. Up to four scholarships will be awarded to American students to attend UCBM’s three-year undergraduate program in Biomedical Engineering.

Program Deadlines

Please note that apply to the NIAF Daniel Megliola Scholarship UCBM, candidates only need to submit the UCBM application for admission. All scholarship related questions are included on the UCBM admissions application. Candidates do not need to complete a separate scholarship application.

Program Details

Language of Instruction: 100% in English

Bachelor’s Program Duration: 3 years starting in September 2026

UCBM’s Biomedical Engineering Degree Course specializes in training a professional who can fit into highly differentiated and rapidly evolving production realities, such as those in the biomedical sector. The professional profile that the degree course intends to train is that of a professional able to operate in the public and private sectors to cover roles at the level of junior designer and expert user of biomedical technologies. The educational path also allows students to continue their studies with access to Master’s Degrees or University Masters to deepen their skills through highly qualified courses in specific fields.

Eligibility

To be considered for the full-tuition scholarship, applicants must have scored a 3 or above on at least 3 scientific AP exams, or to have completed a full year of college/university studies or the 1-year Foundation Course in UCBM.
