NIAF ELECTS PROMINENT ITALIAN AMERICANS TO BOARD

(WASHINGTON, D.C. — MARCH 16, 2010) Three notable Italian American leaders have been elected to the National Italian American Foundation’s (NIAF) Board of Directors during a March 12, 2010 meeting at the Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa in Litchfield Park, Arizona.

NIAF’s newly appointed members of the Board of Directors are: Linda R. Carlozzi, Esq., a partner of the New York City office of Jackson Lewis LLP; Gerard LaRocca, CEO of Barclays Capital Inc. and the New York branch manager of Barclays Bank PLC; and Giacomo Marini, founder and managing director of Noventi Ventures.

“The NIAF Board of Directors is proud to appoint three outstanding leaders in their fields to strengthen the expertise of our board,” NIAF Chairman Jerry Colangelo said.

Current members re-elected to the board are Peter J. Arduini, corporate vice president of BaxterHealthcare Corporation and Anthony F. Sansone, Sr., principal, chairman and CEO of the Sansone Group.

The NIAF Board of Directors includes some of the most prominent business leaders in the United States, including Rocco B. Commisso, chairman and CEO of Mediacom Communications Corporation;Joseph V. Del Raso, Esq., partner with Pepper Hamilton LLP; Joseph M. DePinto, president and CEO of 7-Eleven, Inc.; William C. Freda, vice chairman and U.S. managing partner of Deloitte LLP; Louis J. Freeh, former FBI director; Mario J. Gabelli, portfolio manager of Gabelli Asset Management, Inc.;Patricia de Stacy Harrison, president and CEO of the Corporation of Public Broadcasting; Kenneth G. Langone, co-founder of Home Depot and president of Invemed Associates, LLC; Peter Pace, U.S. Marine Corps General (Ret.); and John F. Scarpa, co-founder of American Cellular Network Corporation.
