NIAF Now Accepting Applications for Graduates To Leaders Communication Workshop in NYC

(WASHINGTON, D.C. – February 6, 2007) The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) is now accepting applications for its Graduates to Leaders (G2L) Workshop in Communications in New York City. The all-expenses-paid NIAF program will be held June 10-12. Through lectures and discussions, students will be given an “insider’s” view into the communications /journalism field and meet with today’s most experienced and influential media personalities. The seminars will also serve as networking forums introducing participants to a professional support group of Italian Americans in communications.

Last year’s presenters included: Silvia Davi, senior managing director of corporate communications for the NASDAQ Marketsite; Charles Gasparino, on-air editor for CNBC; Ron Insana, commentator for CNBC; Sal Marchiano, sports director for The CW 11 News at Ten; Tom Pedulla, sportswriter for USA Today; and Linda Stasi, columnist for the New York Post. The program also included visits to RAI International and NASDAQ headquarters, as well as a tour of the New York Post’s offices.
