(Washington, D.C. – September 27, 2019) – The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) congratulates Eugene Scalia for his appointment as the U.S. Secretary of Labor.
“On behalf of NIAF, we congratulate Secretary Eugene Scalia for being appointed to this prestigious position to serve our country. The U.S. Department of Labor will benefit from his professional experience and strong work ethic.” said NIAF Chair Patricia de Stacy Harrison.
Secretary Scalia is the son of the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, who was honored at the NIAF 11th Anniversary Gala in 1986.
“Secretary Scalia’s late father was a dear friend and supporter of the Foundation,” said NIAF Chair Gabriel A. Battista. “We are pleased that Secretary Scalia, an outstanding Italian American, will play an important role in leading the nation’s labor policy.”
