Robert G. LiberatoreRobert G. Liberatore served as Group Senior Vice President – Global External Affairs and Public Policy for DaimlerChrysler. In this role he is responsible for relations with governments and societies around the world. DaimlerChrysler has Corporate Representative offices which are part of the External Affairs and Public Policy Department in almost forty countries. The principal External Affairs group reporting to Mr. Liberatore are directed from Stuttgart, Washington, Auburn Hills MI), Berlin, and Brussels.
Liberatore reports to Chairman of the Board of Management Jurgen E. Schrempp, and is responsible for developing the company’s position for public policy issues.
Liberatore joined Chrysler Corporation in 1985 after working on Capitol Hill for ten years, including four years as staff director for Senate Leader Robert C. Byrd. He was elected an Officer of the Chrysler Corporation in 1993. He is one of a small number of executives at DaimlerChrysler to be responsible for a worldwide staff.

• Legislative Director for Senator Floyd Haskell, 1975-1979
• Assistant Treasurer and International Corporate Loan Officer, Chase Manhattan Bank, New York and Kingston, Jamaica, 1972-1975
• Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, Georgetown University, 1972.Liberatore is a Board member of the following organizations: the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers; EADS North America; the Washington Performing Arts Society; the Council for Excellence in Government; the National Association of Manufacturers; The European Institute; the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies; and the Automotive Trade Policy Council. Additionally, Liberatore is Vice President of the Federal City Council and Chair of its Government Relations Committee. He also served as the Vice Chair of the NATO 50th Anniversary Summit Host Committee in April, 1999.
