Giacomo MariniGiacomo Marini is an entrepreneur and venture capitalist. Currently, he serves as Chairman and
CEO of Neato Robotics, a home robotics company. He is also the Managing Director of Noventi
Ventures, a firm that invests in emerging technology companies. He serves as Chairman of
Velomat, and on the board of PCTEL (NASDAQ: PCTI) and Ecrio.Prior to founding Noventi Ventures, Giacomo served in various executive roles with several
companies. These positions include the following: interim CEO for FutureTel, a digital video
encoders company (1998-1999); President and CEO of No Hands Software, a company that
produced software for digital publishing (1993-1995); and co-founder, director, and member of
the management team of Logitech, a personal peripherals devices company (1981-1992).
Giacomo previously worked for Olivetti and IBM.The Marini Foundation, which Giacomo founded in 2005, supports health care, education, and
sustainability. Donations made on the part of the foundation have supported the National Italian
American Foundation, Menlo School in Atherton, and Stanford University, among other
organizations. In addition, Giacomo has established the Marini Foundation Education Abroad
endowment at UC Davis.Giacomo earned a Laurea Degree in computer science from the University of Pisa, Italy.
