NIAF Sponsors Significant Position Paper at European House Ambrosetti's Forum in Italy
 
September 2 – 4: The National Italian American Foundation will be front and center at Italy's most important annual international affairs and economics conference. The European House Ambrosetti's will present the "Intelligence on the World, Europe and Italy" Forum that takes place at the iconic Villa d'Este on Lake Como. The forum brings together important figures from around the world to discuss the geo-political economic and social challenges that impact businesses and countries. NIAF has sponsored one of the most significant position papers to be presented at the conference entitled "The Strategic Importance of the Italy-US Relationship." The position paper is scheduled to be discussed by a panel comprised of the 70th Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Senator Lindsey Graham and former Maryland Lt. Governor of Maryland Kathleen Kennedy Townsend.

After the sudden resignation of Prime Minister Mario Draghi, a new September 25th general election has been scheduled in Italy. If you are an Italian passport holder and registered with AIRE, you will be receiving your ballot in the mail. If you don't receive it by September 11th, contact your local Italian Consulate. All completed ballots are to be mailed back to the Consulates by September 22nd.

La Festa Italiana in Scranton, Pa.
 
September 2 – 5: One of Lackawanna County's most delicious traditions is La Festa Italiana, held annually on Labor Day Weekend. The four-day celebration of culture, cuisine, and music brings together people of all ethnic backgrounds from near and far.
