Essay Contest for High School Students
 
The deadline of March 15th is fast approaching for the national essay contest on Christopher Columbus. The winner of the contest will receive $1,200 and a free trip to Washington, D.C. for Columbus Day. The contest is open to students in grades 9 through 12 in public, private, or parochial schools, or to those who are home schooled.

March 6: NOIAW Greater New York Region has rescheduled the celebrations to honor Three Wise Women, awarding three Italian American women three women who have made positive contributions within the greater community and especially in the area of women's empowerment. The 2024 GNY honorees are Maryalice Mazzara, Ed. D, Angela Christiano, Geneticist, Ph.D, and Lisa Veglia, LCSW, MPA, SAS. Proceeds benefit our scholarships and cultural and educational programs.

Italian Cultural Classes Live Online from Rome
 
March 3 – April 2: Italian Club of St. Louis will be offering "Figurative Language in Italian Painting from the Middle Ages to the 1600's." This course offering is free for club members, while the fees remain modest for non-members. Intended for current speakers as well as learners of Italian, they are taught in Italian, live from Italy via Google Meet.
