Nicholas Caiazzo NIAF Vice President Honored with Silk Road Ambassador Award in New York City

(Washington, D.C.- October 11, 2011) Nicholas R. Caiazzo, the National Italian American Foundation’s (NIAF) Regional Vice President for Greater New York, is being honored with a Silk Road Ambassador Award on October 14, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. at SPQR Restaurant in New York City.

The Silk Road Ambassador Awards Gala, held in conjunction with the Marco Polo Festival, benefits the Two Bridges Neighborhood Council and the Chinatown and Little Italy Historic District in New York City, that recognizes two unique cultural communities. The festival symbolically celebrates this special district by invoking the story of the Silk Road, where the ancient markets of Europe and Asia met, marking a new beginning of world commerce and cultural exchange.

Caiazzo is a partner at Wilson, Elsner, Moskowitz Edelman, and Dicker LLP. As trial counsel, he focuses on the litigation of complex claims involving construction accidents, elevator liability, premises liability, medical malpractice and other high-profile, personal injury actions. Throughout his career, he has presented seminars on his areas of expertise and has authored articles on topics related to premises liability and medical malpractice.

Caiazzo received a bachelor’s degree from at New York University and went on to receive his law degree at St. John’s University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York State Trial Attorneys Association. He also provides legal counsel for a number of not-for-profit and charitable organizations in the community.
