Delirious Naples
On Nov. 16-19, Hofstra University and Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò of New York University will be hosting a conference, “Delirious Naples: For a Cultural, Intellectual, and Urban History of the City of the Sun,” celebrating Naples and exploring all dimensions of the rich Neapolitan culture from an interdisciplinary perspective. Antico at National Gallery of Art
The National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., will present from Nov. 6 to April 8, 2012, a retrospective on the Italian sculptor Pier Jacopo Alari Bonacolsi, a.k.a. Antico (1455-1528). The exhibition, entitled “Antico: the Golden Age of Renaissance Bronzes,” is the first dedicated to the work of this major Renaissance artist to be organized in the United States. Further congratulations to Nicholas R. Caiazzo, who was honored with a Silk Road Ambassador Award on October 14 at SPQR Restaurant in New York City. The Silk Road Ambassador Awards Gala, held in conjunction with the Marco Polo Festival, benefits the Two Bridges Neighborhood Council and the Chinatown and Little Italy Historic District in New York City.
