Campania…Land That Will Conquer Your Heart
&
Following in the Steps of the Roman Empire

The National Italian American Foundation is pleased to announce there will be two destinations for our 2007-2008 Italian Heritage Travel Program. The first program, called , “Campania…Land That Will Conquer Your Heart,” will visit the Region of Campania and the second, “Following in the Steps of the Roman Empire,” will visit the Region of Lazio.

You will explore these historical and beautiful regions during each nine-day, seven-night tour. Departure dates begin in September 2007.

Campania... Land That Will Conquer your Heart:
During this excursion, you will visit the cities that lie in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius and dot the region’s beautiful coastal landscape. Campania is famous for its cuisine, majestic sites and warm hospitality. You will experience all of this first-hand when you visit Amalfi, Caserta, Ercolano, Ischia, Naples, Paestum, Positano, Salerno, and Ravello.

Following in the Steps of the Roman Empire:
As you may know, Lazio was the home of the Roman Empire, which ultimately grew to include most of what is now considered Western Europe. Join us in exploring modern Rome and its surroundings, once known as “The Capital of the World.” You will experience all of this first-hand when you visit Ariccia, Castel Gandolfo, Cerveteri, Frascati, Genzano, Grottaferrata, L’Aquila, Montecassino, Rocca di Papa, Tarquinia, Tivoli and ROME.
