Workshop Information

Workshops include
  • Transportation to and from Washington, D.C.
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner for each day of the trip.
  • 3 or 4 nights accommodations.
  • A full-time NIAF Representative to travel with the group.
Workshops do not include
  • Items of a personal nature such as travel insurance, laundry, telephone calls, porterage at airports and hotels, and pocket money.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Students must be Juniors or Seniors in high school at the time of application.
  • Students must be of Italian heritage.
How to Apply:
  • The application process includes background information, two essays, a high school transcript and a recommendation.
Important Dates:
  • Application Deadline: DEADLINE HAS PASSED
Other Important Information:
  • Students Selected to Participate: Proof of student status and a $200 deposit will be requested of all students accepted into the program. If the student cancels his/her participation in the trip, the $200 deposit will not be refunded. The deposit, minus a $50 enrollment fee, will be returned to the student 3-4 weeks after their successful completion of the program. Students will also be asked to sign a Student Code of Behavior.
  • Students Wait-listed: Students will be notified of their status on the wait-list. They will be notified if space becomes available. If selected they must make $200 deposit (see “Students Selected to Participate").
