(WASHINGTON, DC – August 13, 2001) The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) launched the redesign of its web site, www.niaf.org this summer. The new design incorporates state of the art technology which includes easy navigation and compartmentalized drop-down menus for each major NIAF program.

The site also offers on-line membership and information request capabilities; a scrolling news banner which is updated daily; a comprehensive links section; calendar of events, and a guest book. Special features include the foundation’s latest reports on Italian Feste (festivals) and the Italian ancestry of the 107th United States Congress. The NIAF’s monthly bulletins: News from Italy; Affiliate News to Use and Media Results are also featured on the site.

“According to NIAF President Joseph R. Cerrell who spearheaded this initiative, “It was a major overhaul of the previous site.” and Frank J. Guarini, NIAF chairman added “The goal of the site re-design was to offer our supporters an effective way to learn quickly about news and events associated with the NIAF.”

Students can also apply on-line for NIAF scholarships, the Gift of Discovery Program and access our grant program. Comments on the web site can be directed to Michael Sanzi at michael@niaf.org or info@niaf.org.
