WHAT:           

To open the event, dignitaries from Italy will give an overview of 2015 World Expo in Milano and explore its theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.”

The upcoming expo is expected to attract 29 million visitors from May 1 to October 31, 2015.

 Italy’s Ambassador to the United States Claudio Bisogniero will be joined by Italy’s President of the Region of Lombardia Roberto Maroni; Under Secretary of EXPO 2015 Fabrizio Sala; United States Consul General in Milan, Ambassador Philip T. Reeker,  and representatives from Milan’s Chamber of Commerce.

 Following the importance of the 2015 World Expo in Milano presentations, NIAF leadership and Italian American Leadership Council members, and panelists from Italy and the United States, will discuss entrepreneurship in an Italian and American cross-border context.

WHO:              

Joseph V. Del Raso, NIAF Chairman and Partner at Pepper Hamilton, will give the official welcome.

Carl Schramm, noted author and former President and CEO of The Kauffman Foundation, will give the opening remarks.

Patrick Maggitti, Dean of Villanova School of Business, will discuss Trends, Threats and Opportunities in the United States-Italy Bilateral Investments.

John A. Leone, President/CEO of Bonney Forge Corporation, and

Paolo Catalfamo, President of NIAF Italia and NIAF Board of Director, will discuss Challenges and Opportunities for U.S. Investors in Italy.

Federica Guidi, Italy’s Minister of Economic Development, and

Roberto Maroni, President of Italy’s Region of Lombardia, will give the closing remarks.
