On Thursday evening, July 11th, the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) Connecticut Council of 2000 will honor Brian Havens, of the North Haven Funeral Home, Inc. and Carol Mauro, of Ed-Mor Electric Company, Inc. for their leadership and service in Connecticut.

Italian American business professionals throughout the state will join Roy L. De Barbieri, Esq, NIAF area coordinator in Connecticut, to pay tribute to the evening’s honorees for their many contributions over the last ten years to the Foundation’s Council of 2000. Along with De Barbieri, Frank Grazioso, attorney-at-law and former NIAF general counsel who was recently honored at the NIAF East Coast Gala, will speak during the reception.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Connecticut has a population of 650,000 Italian Americans or 15 percent of the population.

The reception serves as an opportunity for the NIAF to highlight the initiatives of the Foundation and to broaden its membership base.
