Panelists will discuss the latest in preventative strategies for breast cancer. Topics they will explore include how breast cancer relates to obesity, the effects of olive oil and a healthy lifestyle, the latest in stem cell research for cancer treatment and treating, understanding and preventing breast cancer in 2012 and beyond.

During the conference, the third annual Giovan Giacomo Giordano-NIAF Award for Ethics and Creativity in Medical Research will be presented to Massimo Cristofanilli. The award, a sculpture, is designed by artist Lello Esposito.

Held in collaboration with the Sbarro Health Research Organization Inc., and the College of Science and Technology at Temple University, the conference is presented in conjunction with the NIAF 37th Anniversary Gala Weekend.
