Italia Unita is accepting adult students for its Winter session
of "Parliamo L'italiano". Italia Unita is offering a basic-level
course of the Italian language and an Opera Appreciation Course.
Basic Italian: will be offered on Tuesday evenings beginning on
Tuesday, January 8, 2008. The basic course is for students who have
little or no experience with the Italian language. The goal of the
course is to familiarize the students with the phonetics and grammar
to develop speaking, reading, and writing skills in basic Italian.
The cost of this course is $185 per student.
Teacher: Leonardo Ciampa
This course will be offered at East Boston High School, 86 White
Street, East Boston, from 6-8 PM for 10 weeks.
Basic Italian: will be offered on Saturday afternoons beginning on
Saturday January 12, 2008. The basic course is for students who have
little or no experience with the Italian language. The goal of the
course is to familiarize the students with the phonetics and grammar
to develop speaking, reading, and writing skills in basic Italian.
The cost of this course is $185 per student.

Held at YMCA of East Boston for 10 weeks
Opera Appreciation:
Each week, the lyrics from an Italian Opera Aria will be read in
Italian and discussed. Once the students comprehend the lyrics, the
aria will be played for the students, who now understand the lyrics
in Italian. Begins January 10. Every Thursday 6pm-8pm for 6 weeks.
The course is $120 per student.
