Assistant/Associate Professor of Italian

The Department of Modern Languages seeks to fill a tenure-track position
in Italian, beginning September 1, 2010. Specialization open. Candidates
must demonstrate experience as a dynamic and effective teacher of
Italian language and culture at all levels, as well as literature or
linguistics. Background in pedagogy and language coordination a plus. We
are looking for an individual who can contribute to an already thriving
undergraduate program that includes a fall-term study abroad program in
Rome. Candidates should have the ability to design and teach
interdisciplinary courses in Italian culture for intermediate/advanced
language learners, as well as more traditional upper-level courses. PhD
in hand and a clearly-defined research agenda, as well as native or
near-native fluency in Italian fundamental. Please attach a cover letter

AIFS Study Abroad Scholarships Great news for AIFS students! AIFS has more than doubled the amount of scholarship money awarded annually to program participants. Each year, more than $600,000 in scholarships will be given to summer and semester students who submit application materials demonstrating high academic achievement. Scholarships are available for both summer and semester programs.
